If we were to travel back in time, the pieces from the Bestiarium collection would find their place in the jewelry chests of the noble women in the Middle Ages. It was the era in which bees carried war, horses caught wings, and birds healed their own chickens. At least, this is what the bestiaries- medieval collections of allegorical stories about fantastic animals- show us.
Coming back to our days we find the medieval imaginary in Ana Wagner’s creations: exotic animals, fabulous reptiles, birds with wonderfully coloured feathers, bizarre insects. They have all come down from their fantastic world straight onto the hand-painted porcelain with pure gold.
